RANDY MAYFIELD


Randy Mayfield is an accomplished singer, songwriter who has traveled the nation and to more than 80 countries of the world. He has appeared on numerous television, radio and live performances in many wonderful venues including the Fox Theater, Powell Concert Hall and the Sheldon in St. Louis as well as The Bluebird Cafe in Nashville, TN.  

 
He has performed the National anthem for several major sporting events including Monday Night Football and Major League Baseball, including the St. Louis Cardinals, the Chicago Cubs, Boston Red Sox, Colorado Rockies, San Diego Padres, Los Angeles Dodgers, K.C. Royals, Milwaukee Brewers and several other pro teams.   Randy wrote the "Rally Squirrel Theme Song" that was featured during the 2011 World Series Championship Season for the St. Louis Cardinals and played during Game 6 of the Series on Fox Sports.

Randy has opened concerts for Michael English, Jaci Velasquez, Stephen Curtis Chapman, the Imperials and more and he has recently performed in concert with symphony orchestras in Russia, Hungary, England and Iraq featuring music from his new CD, "Classic Randy Mayfield." 

He has led worship and performed for a number of area and national conferences including Christian Businessmen Intl., "MOPS" National convention, "Fellowship of Christian Athletes,"COSIM" National Mission's conference, RCA Marriage Conferences, URBANA Pastor's conference, EPC and PCUSA Youth conferences ("Summer Jam," & "Fun in the Sun") and several more local, national and International women's, men's, youth and worship conferences.

Randy has been nominated for four Emmy awards and has received numerous national music awards for his singing and songwriting including the Billboard Songwriting Awards and the Christian Artists "Song of the Year" award at Estes Park, CO.

In addition to his seven solo albums, Randy produced and wrote many of the songs for the best selling, "Christmas in St. Louis", & "A Season of Love," "A Cardinal Christmas," for the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team, and "A Caring Christmas," which featured players and coaches from the St.Louis Cardinals, Rams and Blues teams. These projects raised more than $100,000 for local charities.  His latest CD projects include, "Classic Randy Mayfield," and "The Collection."

Randy has served as a chapel leader for the St. Louis Rams Football team and the St. Louis Cardinals Baseball Club for more than 20 years and he is currently the chaplain for the Clayton, Missouri Police Department.

Randy has a B.S. and M.A. in Communications and an honorary Doctorate of Divinity from Irpin Seminary in Kiev.  Randy is an ordained minister with International Ministerial Fellowship. He and his wife, Sharon, reside in West St. Louis County, Missouri. They have two grown children, Amanda Mayfield Morman (married to Brian,) who is a teacher in Alaska and their son, Justin, who is a musician/photographer and lives in Columbia, Missouri. They recently had their first granddaughter, Afton May Morman!

Randy is the Missions & Outreach pastor at the Central Presbyterian Church in St. Louis where he has served for more than 35 years. He leads a number of short-term mission trips around the world each year and serves on the board of the Bible Faith College and Ministries in Kenya, Africa, Presbyterian Mission International (PMI) at Covenant Theological Seminary (www.PMIweb.org) He is on the advisory board of the St. Louis Area Fellowship of Christian Athletes (www.fcastl.org) and chairs the Church advisory committee for "Christian Day at the Ballpark" with the St. Louis Cardinals.
